Although Western diets typically contain large amounts of the omega-6 essential fatty acid from corn and safflower oils, the body's conversion to the active GLA form can be impeded by various factors, thus disturbing fatty acid balance in favor of synthesis of proinflammatory compounds. Borage oil provides a higher ratio of GLA to linoleic acid than evening primrose oil and similar plant oils and can be used to help reestablish a healthier omega-6 fatty acid balance. Oil is cold-pressed and free of hexane or other solvents. Vitamin E added to maintain freshness.
Suggested Adult Use: 1 softgel daily with food.

Naturally-derived, inert excipient materials, including cellulose-based excipients, vegetable-derived magnesium stearate, L-leucine, and silicon dioxide are used in very small amounts as tableting and encapsulation aids. Tableted products are protected with an inert, water-soluble cellulose coating that dissolves readily upon ingestion, thus facilitating tablet disintegration time.
