Baicalein is a flavonoid isolated from the roots of from the root of the Scutellaria Baicalensis Georgi plant. Commonly known as Baikal Skullcap or Chinese Skullcap (Huang qin), the root of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, is a well-known and widely used traditional Chinese medicine.
