The gut-brain axis refers to the bidirectional communication network between the central and autonomic nervous systems and the intestines. Gut-brain communications are mediated by the immune system, endocrine connections such as the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, and neural pathways involving the enteric nervous system. The gut microbiota is now known to play a pivotal role in gut-brain communications. It is a complex interaction whereas the microbiota engages locally with intestinal cells as well as communicating directly with the central nervous system through neuroendocrine, immune, and metabolic pathways. Research into gut-brain mechanisms is rapidly expanding our understanding and serves to inform the development of targeted probiotic formulations.

Suggested Use: Dissolve the content of 1 sachet daily in water (3-4 oz.), preferably lukewarm, and stir before consumption. Take on an empty stomach in the morning, before bed, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Suitable for children from the age of 1 year.
Other Ingredients: Maize starch, maltodextrin, inulin, polydextrose, vegetable protein, magnesium sulfate, and manganese sulfate.

Free of: ProThera® and Klaire Labs® brands of products are free of artificial flavors, preservatives, and colorings. Naturally-derived, inert excipient materials, including cellulose-based excipients, vegetable-derived magnesium stearate, L-leucine, and silicon dioxide are used in very small amounts as tableting and encapsulation aids. Tableted products are protected with an inert, water-soluble cellulose coating that dissolves readily upon ingestion, thus facilitating tablet disintegration time. Vegetarian capsules made of plant cellulose are used exclusively for two-piece encapsulated products. Common allergens such as wheat, corn, soy, yeast, and dairy are avoided unless otherwise specified on the label.
