Hair Toxic & Essential Elements Test
The Hair Elements profile provides information regarding recent and ongoing exposure to several toxic metals and the status of specific nutrient elements. This noninvasive screening test requires only 0.25 grams of hair.
What’s Measured:
- Toxic elements: aluminum, antimony, arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury, platinum group elements, uranium, etc.
- Essential nutrient elements: calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, zinc, selenium, chromium, copper, manganese, etc.
Highlights:
- Hair grows ~1–2 cm per month; it incorporates elements permanently, reflecting long‑term metabolic and exposure history. Toxic metals may concentrate in hair 200–300× more than in blood or urine.
- Ideal for screening mineral metabolic imbalances and toxic exposure, used alongside other diagnostics.
Recommended for:
